When smoky quartz becomes dark enough, it appears black. This is what is known as black morion quartz, and it is fairly rare. Black morion quartz has powerful grounding energies that help in healing and guiding one's self. The crystal specimen for sale has thick crystal points facing upwards. On one of them, there are tiny brown crystals that forms a small patch. This piece is rare for its size and is just as beautiful.
