Quality "E" means extra quality, that is the highest quality for carving, i.e., a quality close to a gem grade. It is either or both dark colour or having some transparency. Quality "AA" is a quality grade immediately below the quality "E". It has the same carachteristics but with less transparency and/or not too dark. Quality "A" is below quality "AA" and the colour is an ordinary colour you see around on most carvings, usually having very low or no transparency. Quality "B" is a quality with a pale colour and no transparency.
